Tara Baisden Author Chicago

Tara Baisden is a soon-to-be published fiction author and seasoned non-fiction writer, who calls the beautiful mountains of southern West Virginia her home. Tara has penned six quilting books in the creative arts industry and has been featured in several magazines. But that’s not all—under her pen name Atlanta Wilkes, Tara has designed over 60 coloring books for both adults and children! (You can find these on Amazon by searching “Atlanta Wilkes Coloring Books” or visiting her website at www.atlantawilkes.com )

Currently, Tara is diving into the world of Contemporary Inspirational Romance, Cozy Mysteries, and tinkering with a Detective Mystery that’s still brewing in her creative mind. Her upcoming debuts of Christian Inspirational Romances will be out by the end of 2024. These heartwarming stories are set in the fictional town of Laurel Ridge, West Virginia, where faith, real-life struggles, and happy endings always meet. Each of these novels will be part of a series, but each will stand-alone as well.

In early 2025, get ready for Tara’s Cozy Mysteries, which will be published under the pen name Scarlet Butler. These fun, lighthearted whodunits feature an amateur detective solving mysteries in a charming West Virginia town. They’re the perfect mix of clean, comfortable, and fun reads—ideal for curling up with on a quiet afternoon.

As for that Detective Mystery? Well, it’s still a work in progress, but stay tuned—Tara’s determined to see it through!

When she’s not writing, Tara enjoys the simple life. She has two grown children (who she’s immensely proud of), two dogs, Delilah and Daisy, and two cats, Queen Hazel and Kitty. Growing up in the Midwest, Tara always dreamed of living in the mountains where her father was raised. After a life-changing event, she made that dream a reality and now resides in a cozy log cabin on a mountaintop, surrounded by peace, beauty, and friendly neighbors. Known locally as “that girl who lives way up in the mountains,” Tara couldn’t be happier, living her best life with a smile that says, “I’m home.”

If you enjoy stories that whisk you away to sweet Southern towns with a touch of faith, heartwarming romance, and a sprinkle of Southern charm—think “bless your heart,” “fixin’ to,” and “sugar”—you’ll fall in love with Tara’s tales.
